THURSDAY EVENING PRESENTATION:

BOB FRISHMAN

On October 28, 2025, Bob was honored to deliver the Dingwall-Beloe Lecture at the British Museum in London. This annual lecture is one of the world's most prestigious horological events. With 150 historic images, Bob described some of the hundreds of horology exhibits within Hyde Park's groundbreaking and immense all-glass Crystal Palace, and the struggles of the American exhibitors to gain respect for the practical inventions and products they brought to display. Chauncey Jerome's 'cheap' Yankee clocks already were invading the British market and were available for viewing by the millions of international visitors at this first world's fair in 1851. Bob has adapted this lecture for our regional meeting audience.
